2012 GOPHER FOOTBALL MINI-CAMP

Athletes will participate in drills to enhance football skills on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Current high school players and coaches will work directly with all youth campers. Athletes should dress in shorts, t-shirt and cleats or tennis shoes for this non-contact event. Click here for a consent form.

Registration Information

It’s sign-up time for the Gresham Youth Football Association’s fall 2012 season. GYFA is beginning our 6th season. We are a tackle football program and a member of the Tualatin Valley Youth Football League (TVYFL). Our program is open to any child in 3rd through 8th grade during the 2012-2013 school year. All participants must live in and attend school within the Gresham Elementary and Middle school boundaries of: North Gresham, West Gresham, East Gresham, Highland, Hall, Hollydale, Hogan Cedars, Dexter McCarty and Clear Creek, with the exception of home or private schools in the area.

Forms: After registering online please print a copy of the player contract and the TVYFL Medical Release form for 2012.

Physicals: All players are required to have a current physical and provide the GYFA with the completed and signed 2012 TVYFL Medical Release. Physicals are good for 2 years but the form must be completed after February 1st, 2012. We cannot accept any form other than the 2012 TVYFL Medical Release. No player will be issued equipment or be allowed to participate in any contact without the completed TVYFL Medical Release, Player contract and full payment of fees.

Registration fees are $195 per player if paid between April 1st and May 15th, $225 if paid between May 15 and June 15, and $250 after June 15th. Payment must be made in full by fee deadline to receive that discount.

Registration fees include participation in GYFA, equipment use, practice and game uniforms and registration for the mandatory GHS Gopher Gridiron Camp, a $60 value (1st week of practice). Players will get to keep their game jerseys at season’s end. All other issued equipment is the property of GYFA and must be returned at the conclusion of your participation. Note: There are NO REFUNDS after July 1, 2012.

Teams: For 2012 GYFA will field teams in the following divisions:

• 3rd/4th Grade
• 5th/6th Grade
• 7th (JV)
• 8th (Varsity)

All teams are determined by coach’s draft, all draft results are final. GYFA President has final approval over all team rosters. Players may not play up or down a grade level unless for safety issues or special consideration (i.e. 2nd graders playing at the 3rd grade level).

Financial Aid: A limited number of scholarships are available please fill out the Financial Aid request form located under the forms section of the GYFA website. All Financial Aid forms are due upon your registration and all information is strictly confidential.
